[ Hey kid. Remember a certain incident involving crude drawings of your adoptive dad? You probably wished you'd forgotten all about that.

Too bad here's a reminder. Belthazar will find himself handed a large envelope and should he bother to open it, he'll find another, thicker envelope filled to the brim with something and a note with Read Me First! written on it.

Better heed the advice...?

The note reads The other envelope contains all naughty pictures of Adra I found on the bulletin board throughout the previous month. You're free to do with them whatever you wish. I suggest you burn them because fire is fun, yeah? -Kavi

This appears to be a peace offering and isn't actually meant to fluster or enrage Belthazar. For once. ]

[Belthazar is thankfully very good at reading instructions, which is good, because otherwise he would've torched the whole package immediately.

He is struck by the man's kindness, especially considering his earlier behavior...

The next day, Kavi will find a blue package wrapped with gold ribbon addressed to him in his room. It contains a small box of rainbow macarons. Though macarons normally have a faint almondy flavor, after a few seconds it changes to chocolate-- a trick of magic, no doubt.]

[ on the morning of the 23rd, you receive a package, wrapped neatly in glossy white paper and gold ribbon, with a photo attached to it. It’s a picture of Teddy, your resident Prime Minister, giving puppy dog eyes at the camera and holding up a sign that reads “I ♥ HEROES”. the message on the back of the photo says: ]

Dear Belthazar Spellscry,
I am happy to see that you made it back from Gammon, safe and sound. War is truly a terrible thing, and I can only imagine the horrors you had to go through. I thank you for your service, from the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of Blanc’s citizens. We are truly grateful.

Commander Pinta has informed me of your valiant efforts in the recent battle to protect the Kingdom of Gammon. Gammon is an important ally of the Republic of Blanc, and though a battle is never an enjoyable ordeal, I do hope you enjoyed the sights and celebrations our sister nation has to offer.

But not too much! Gammon is a great place, but Blanc missed you, Belthazar! I missed you. I thought it might be nice to send you a little gift, which I hope you’ll enjoy.

A shirt, and a teddy bear.

If your eyes happen to wander over to your window, you notice you’re not alone. Wait a minute, is that… Teddy peeking in, watching eagerly as you unwrap your gift? Was it just your imagination? Whether it is or not, he’s already gone! ]

[Belthazar isn't sure what to make of the letter or the gift. He's not the kind of person to trust right away, especially when it comes to those in positions of authority. But... he does seem intrigued by the shirt and the teddy bear, and he doesn't notice anyone peeking at his window, so he puts it on.

It's a perfect fit... and it's warm. Maybe he'll wear it to bed tonight.]

[Mikleo has a gift idea for Sorey. Ironically enough, Teddy's gift to him actually helped him to get the base for it. All that's left is for a catalyst and someone to help him with the mana part. Right now, though, he'll focus on acquiring the catalyst. The best person he can think of to help him with this is Belthazar, but the seraph has other options if it doesn't pan out.]

Excuse me, Belthazar? [MIKLEO HOPES THIS IS HIM....] If you have a moment, I'd like to discuss item synthesis with you.

[Belth is in the middle of studying-- because of course he is-- but that means it's easier to plop his carrier on the table beside him and return the call.]

Mikleo, right? I hope you are faring well. [Belth seems to be in slightly better spirits than at the party at least.] Sure, I have synthesized before. What would you like to know?

[Well, at least Belthazar is in a good mood! That helps a lot.]

Yes, and I've been alright. I hope things are going well for you, too. [Pleasantries aside:] I'd like to know what material would help with protecting against ailments like poison and burns. Do you have any ideas? I'd like to add that to a pair of earrings for a friend.

Hmmm. It would have to be something that originated from a monster... preferably one that can cause those effects, or offers some natural resistance. I think I may have just the thing.

[He rubs his chin.] Though, it's a coat. Ah, well, magic will take care of the rest.
