There were a bunch of small rooms, sort of like the ones we get on the ships but more sterile. And there was a very large kitchen and a group room. We could access some media for entertainment, none of it familiar really, but... it felt quite a bit like they were trying to appease us.

But when the lights went out, things turned very strange. We would all fall asleep at about the same time and then... we were caught in our dreams, or those of other people.

We'll have to... try balancing out each others stubbornness, I guess.

[He gives a tiny grin, look how much more easygoing the younger Khadgar is. Probably. He doesn't know. He imagines Archmage-him as stuffy.]

It's unfortunate that your family thought giving you up was better. Magic has always been in my family, and we were never punished for it.

Not particularly. I thought we might try another spell I've crafted for a self-sustaining mana gem, and it just so happens to have a propensity to explode. Arcane magic, you know.

[ He still can't completely pull himself out of the constant negativity feedback loop going on in his head right now, but... this helps. Belth is helping. And if he can't absolutely beat away the shitty brainwaves, well, he can at least keep pretending they're not there - as well as he can.

[Belthazar shows up not long after. He's carrying a basket, because nothing makes someone hungrier than blowing shit up. He smiles gently when he sees Eithan.]

[ Eithan looks up from his mini-fireball, puts it out with a flick of his wrist. He returns the smile, just as gently, full of gratitude... though it turns into more of a grin at Belth's question. ]

[He lifts the basket.]
